In Denver, Colorado, word of mouth is spreading about an app called “The Mile-High Murder Game,” which requires players to visit real-life locations around Denver, gather clues, and solve puzzles in pursuit of a serial killer.

Naturally, everyone assumes the serial killer is fictional. But when one of the players finally follows an entire sequence of clues, it leads to the discovery of a very real dead body.

My novel “The Mile-High Murder Game” tells the story of a serial killer in present-day Denver, Colorado.
